John Gilmovich is the current president of The Property Owners Association of NSW. Having held 15 years of senior level and board positions for the property industry. He is currently a board member of the NSW Government Property Services Expert Panel, a think tank advisory to the minister of Innovation and Better Regulation as well as direct advisory to the Property Services Commissioner.
As a licensed real estate agent and auctioneer of some 3 decades, John has been a part of the executive committee of The Real Estate Institute of NSW for the past decade assisting the board and its members in best practice of running a real estate agency business and in shaping professionalism through high quality education and training.
John is a property investing expert with particular expertise in the purchase and management of residential property. He is the managing director of Real Property Manager a multi award winning Sydney based property agency that sources and manages residential and commercial property. A high-level performer with expert knowledge of the property markets and the legislation that governs them.
A recipient of several accolades as a real estate practitioner, a charity and property auctioneer who holds a certificate 4 in workplace training and assessment, John’s career has seen him rise to corporate level engagement in shaping the real estate services industry as well as state and federal legislative consultation, reform and engagement in the rapidly evolving property tech development.
John is regularly approached by the media to give commentary on the current state of affairs in the real estate sector, writes and publishes content for popular property news media, journals, online forums and also holds regular workshops, seminars, webinars and networking events on how to effectively invest and manage rental property.
