POANSW is seeking expression of interest for volunteer committee of management members to work with our executive committee in shaping the property and accommodation landscape in NSW.
Who is the POANSW?
The Property Owners Association of NSW is a non-government enterprise (NGO) that has been representing private property owners who own small to medium sized property portfolios or are providing residential accommodation or commercial leases to the NSW market.
What’s involved?
Working through a 2 hour agenda list of action items via scheduled Zoom online meetings which are normally set on first Wednesday of every 2nd month usually around 5-7pm.
What are the agenda items?
The POANSW have an executive committee of 5 property experts who are focused on matters involving land tax/valuations, boarding and rooming accommodation, boutique hotels, residential tenancy issues, strata title living and building and construction industry just to name a few.
Do I need any formal qualification to be involved?
Not at all. However you have to be or have had experiences in property dealings within the NSW laws and ideally be a property owner or property investor on an intermidiettery level of knowledge.
What’s in it for me?
In exchange for your time, you will have an opportunity to broaden your knowledge, be surrounded by highly experienced property professionals, be given the opportunity to express your concerns, suggestions and have input including possible stakeholder meetings with several Government departments that issue white papers on legislative reform.

To apply you must be a financial member of the POANSW. Membership is available to purchase on the POANSW website. Please send in a 1 page letter or email outlining your interest and include
- why you want to become a committee member
- your professional background including any formal qualifications you may hold and/or your personal experiences with property dealings
- how you think you could contribute to the POANSW objectives.
