Another week has passed and there has been further updates to the impact on our industry.
The Residential Tenancies Amendment (Covid-19) Regulation 2020 commenced 15 April 2020. The Regulation implements the moratorium
on tenancy evictions for rental arrears due to a tenant being financially impacted by COVID-19. It also extends the eviction notice periods in certain circumstances to 90 days. In addition, there is a schedule that deals specifically with boarding house residents who are financially impacted by COVID-19.
